oem rings and piston ?
i have usdm itr pistons and rings directy from honda, and the oil ring seems to be getting stuck when i'm putting the piston in the block. yes, i'm using a piston ring compressor...but it still gets caught...are the rings don't need to be shaved correct? they're already set to spec?

Is the oil rings on correctly ? If they are what I did was first oil the cylinder and the piston so that it slides in easier.

don't know if this'll help ya but anyways......i know some guys who when tapping the piston into the block don't just tap the middle of the piston until its in(although most of the time this works very easily), but they tap one side of the piston then start tapping along the edge going in a circular pattern until the piston is in the bore.
