b18c1 with a b16 head with typeR valvetrain. Or just a b18c5 head.

If you're gonna get a B16 you better boost that bitch. Cuz if you don't, its gonna be what it is...a bitch...at low end

I think those are your two best options, and they will probably be the most fun. The reason i would not get a B16 is because it does not have very much torque (its basically a D16 that revs higher, has two cams, and a few more hp up top). If your going to get a B16 youd be better off just getting a D and boosting it, it will be much cheaper and yeild approx the same results

The good thing about a B16 head and and B18 block is you will get the best of both worlds, high reving and some good torque

it also depends on what you plan to do, N/A or F/I, this will help you make you decision by knowing which route your going to take.

ls/vtec if boost is in the future why not get the best of both worlds, TQ, revs, cheap, reliable, and lower compression for those that dont like to pay for tuning.
