Default tial 38mm wastegate HELP!!!!!!

i have a tial 38mm on my boosted b16. i recently had a boost leak and checked EVERYTHING and it still leaks boost only when i hit vtec. i have a turboxs dsbc. the top of the wastegate is vented to the atmosphere is that ok or should it be routed somewhere

HELP PLEASE!!!!

have you checked all your couplings? I know they can tear and you wont notice it until you take them off and look at them. I dont think it has anything to do with the wastegate

check to see if you have a wastegate valve seat. The same thing happened to me and that was my problem. Titan motorsports sells them for like 20 bux.

it has all the parts it needs and no tears.

could it be the tuning since it only leaks in vtec?

how exactly would tuning affect a boost leak? can u explain how its leaking, once vtec hits it just drops to 0? or does it slowly drop? did it always happen?

I initially had problems getting the Tial to seal at high rpms. That stupid lip around the valve makes it difficult to keep it flat on the flange when you torque it down. To fix it once and for all I got the lip machined flat and sprayed all the surfaces with copper sealant. No more leak!!

I would only boost like 3 psi. Making me think it was something else.
