Default EK9 swaybars

Hey everyone!

Does anyone know the diameter of the EK9 front and rear swaybars?

Currently I have stock EK4 swaybars: 20 something at the front and 15mm.

Is it worth it to change and will the EK9 bars bolt in without problems?
I am a handling freak.

Thank you!!

the EK9 have 26mm front and 22mm rear sway bars

The EDM EK4 (VTI) also have the 26mm front sway bar, but a smaller rear bar.

For the EK9 26mm front bar you will need the 99-00 Si front lower control arms, sway bar endlinks and the matching strut forks. The Ek9 bar is not compatible with EX LCAs

I wonder how is the EK4 subframe compare to our US civic 96-00.

The subframe of the EDM EK4 VTi is pretty much the same as the 99-00 Si in the States. Except that the VTi only came as a hatchback.
The LCAs, swaybars and brakes are the same.
I´m doing the sway bars and brake conversion on my EJ9 Hatchback right now.

Thanks very much for your replies!

But I am confused, if EK4 = 99-00 Si why would I need to buy 99-Si stuff?

What about the back, the most important, is it plug and play?

Please consider that I am from Portugal and that's where my Civic is, even though I am living in Japan now (and trying to get nice parts to take back home).

Sorry for all the questions and thank you for sharing.

Ok, so I got these EK9 swaybars for around 40€, it seemed a good deal.
Now I just need to figure out how to mount them...

You have all the mounting hardware you need. The only thing I'd get are some universal Energy Suspension swaybar bushings for the proper diameters, and make sure they come with new D-brackets.
