Can you be a little more specific because all Honda/Acura's have a MAP sensor. pre-92's use a vacuum line that runs to the MAP sensor usually mounted on the firewall. 92+ have the MAP sensor mounted on top of the TB.

It didn't have a MAP sensor on the throttle body at all...the block was stamped as a '93 Engine... hmm...

Sounds like my friend got a raw deal.

my friend had to add a map sensor to his LS/VTEC he was using a older B16a head so the intake manifold didi have the MAP on the TB so he had to pull one off a 90 TEG i think the 90-93 you can use hell proably any year that is mounted on the fire wall it runs off vaccum on the manifold and make sure you dont get the MAP and TPS plugs switched around that is what we did and it fucked with us for a while. just zip tie the MAP somewhere by the firewall and all will be fine.I would try and get the plug and a little extra wire just in case plug style is different...

Good Luck.

Brandon

the JDM ones dont have a map sensor connected to the IM, i know what your talking about
just run a small vacume line to the intake manifold and ziptie it to somthing
thats what i did

I had to buy a CRV tb and add the map sensor on top. The JDM b16 have the map on the firewall. Its easier to put the map on the tb, no vacuum lines.

i just got an LS throttle body from my friend and put it on there. which was cool since it was free and now my MAP sensor is actually mounted instead of just hanging there.

Brandon,
would you mind describing the symptoms this exhibited?
I'm trying to trouble shoot for a briend's turbo JDM b16 with a D16 ECM.

Thank You.

Damn...this one was dug up from the grave.

That's when I switched to "Todd C" for awhile.

BTW, we did have to add the MAP sensor. For some damn reason it didn't have one.

depends on what kind of car you are putting it in. As far as ef series goes, if it is a dx or std. them you have have to get one from a si. You shouldnt have to get one if you already have an si. All other cars shouldnt really matter. Dont hold me to it though but that has been my experience.

thanx,
chazz

I have a MAP sensor if you need one. Is the one the goes on the fire-wall. You just need to hook up a vacume line from the MAP to the TB. Let me know if you are interested.

I put on a 06 GSR Tb onto my b16. it has the map sensor on the tb itself. but running a vacume line and mounting the sensor on the firewall will also work if you are useing a b16.
