Could also be a bad speedometer.

Sure it is. Just get another cluster and swap it.

nope as stated in first post, no code , which worrys me, hell i don't know how to swap the speedo part of the cluster, i can take my cluster in and out, thats easy.. but if i swap the speedo part from another cluster, don't i lose my mileage?? which in any case could easily be illegal

I heard that you can take you new(used) cluster to honda and have them adjust the mileage to match you current one.

oh for serious? ok thats works, so i can take the speedo out of any gauge cluster from 92-95 civic? also i noticed today, my miles don't record either, wouldn't that sugest that the vss is broken, because if it was just the speedo and the vss was fine, woulnd't it still calculate mileage?
