Default itr tranny with GM synchromesh fluid helps grinds?

so has anybody tired using the GM synchromesh fluid to help reduce grinding on the itr tranny? i know the 88-91 lsd honda trannys respond really well to it and a lot of other non GM car owners use the stuff and love it!!... any opinions any body tried it?

If you can do a search, I am sure you will find a bunch of threads with the info. you are looking for.

IMO, I feel that Synchromesh only masks problems with trannies.

Exactly what I was going to say. If you just want to ignore it for a while, then use it, but if you really want to fix it, then this isn't the way to do it.

the problem won't be "cured" by using different fluid. it will only mask it, the problem will still be there

masking is fine with me... im not going to spend 1500 on a rebuild if fluid can stop/reduce my 3rd gear grinding...
