so i leaned it way out (17:1 from idle to 4k) and here is what i t put out

25/25 test 50/15 test

so as you can see, the not cat thing killed me. but im having a hell of a time finding one... i know its not honda related but i know other people on this board own 240s so i m looking for suggestions as where to buy one Z(cheap temp, just to get emissioned)

it would have gone on freashalloy or zilvia but they arent really that technical

 

why is it hard to find? is it like a crx HF or toyota Camary's where it's part of the exhaust mani.?

I just paid a guy $150 to pass the car so I didnt have to go through this BS

Just buy a universal cat at autozone for $40 and weld it on

Our emissions is every 2 years, $150 is cheap here, some ask $400

There very strict here so why risk your liscense for $25?

 

well here in my country the inspection is based on brakes/suspension/co testing.
You probably didnt noticed but im from europe, we do get strict laws here too but as for that test, thats it.
On the other hand we gotta pay taxes for every single thing we buy 21% over that value (talking car related here) and then u get the ticket from cops because those parts r illegal and eventually a special inspection where they even dyno the car.

leaning it out past stoich will shoot up your NOx and riching it up past stoich will raise your HC's.
dont know if that will help. well it wont. no way are you gonna pass emissions with no cats. if you could, then there wouldnt be cats any more

 

I hope you advanced timing if you are going to run that lean. I'd suggest tuning for slightly leaner than stoich and run a couple degrees advanced.

yes well retarding the timing is hard because i have an safc... im trying to go standalone here soon.

i noticed that while he was diong the test it still hunted for stoich, so leaning it out really didnt help.

i will try to 87 octane and denatured alcohol although with base timing i dont think that will help.

i have like 200 miles on a fresh royal purple fluids change so im golden

and i do have an open atmosphere catch can waiting to be installed... just need to get a backet welded on
