I want a good stiff ride but for daily driving. Also want height adj.

Was going to through some sleeves over my tokico's but decided not to because of bad feedback about ride quality.

Anyone running the Tein Basics?

I have them and I am not happy. In fact, I might switch back to my stock suspension. They bottomout too easily, and the ride is too harsh.

 

I've got them on my 4th gen, they are harsh as f*ck but i like them(stay on the good roads )

correct me if im wrong, but i thought the basics werent height adjustable?

 

They're adjustable. I have them on my 4th gen and actually like them.

 

they're not bad. But i'd strongly suggest something with damper adjustability. It'll be weeell worth the extra spending.

 

Get some OTS koni's and some Ground Controls with ~400F/R springs.

Should cost about 850$.

 

the basics are height adjustable but not dampner adjustable. the ss have both. teins are high in price though. but not really in spring rate. most i have seen like higher spring rates. omnipower, nex, and ksports all have good comments. there is a new comer too. AMR engineering. they are on here. lifetime warranty, fully adjustable, and they only do custom rates. they don't believe in shelf rates because someone will always complain. if you can control your own rates, its your fault you don't like them. check out their thread. i am not positive that these companies make apps for your ride but i don't see why not if they have mine.

ftw. although i would get a tad bit stiffer since the OP wants a "stiff ride"

koni is the only way to go if he truly does

 

I got my almost new TEIN Basics for $125....so I really can't complain!

but i got my gc/konis with 450 f/r for 300 so i'm not either

yeah you got a still there. i'd even do it if that was the case. softer than was i'd like but can't beat the price.
