Why? There is about a 1/2 inch gap with oil dripping out. I've had this problem for a long time and keep ruining axles. Has anybody ran into this problem?

there's a clip that holds the shaft to the axel.. Could be missing

 

yah! Thats what I thought too. But clip is there....

could the clip be worn, mayb eu need a new one.

 

go to honda and get a new one.

to me it just sounds like the clip isn't working correct..
and has the axle or shaft been in a curb wreck or damaged in any way.... that u know of?

 

nah. The axles are remanufactured. The intermediate shaft...don't know.
