I have an 01 GSR with a custom turbo. Lately I have been smoking a lot and was getting suspicious of valve seals leaking. I took off my head and this is what it looked like. It looks like a lot of burnt oil. But I am not sure. It comes off real easy. Anyone have some input? Thank you in advance.. Matt

 

most of that is just carbon deposits, could be running a lil bit rich, some valves look a lil wet, since u have the head off already, it wouldnt hurt to just replace them, **** throw in some after market valve train while your at it, but yea most of that looks like carbon deposit
