It is not very often that I am standing in front of my car while it's running, with the hood up. Last night was one of the few times and I noticed a clicking noise coming from the motor.
I recall several months ago, before any mods were done, hearing this noise as well. I took it to Honda and they said everything checks out fine. The mechanics at Dynospot also never mentioned anything when they did the SC installation either.
This morning when started the car, I opened the hood to see if I could hear the noise and nothing, no clicking. I drove the car to work, popped the hood and the clicking was back.
It does not quite sound like a valve click, so I am wondering if it could be the injects I am hearing. If it were valves, wouldn't the clicking be all the time?
Anyone have any idea? Anyone notice the same noise in their SI's?
I am taking to car to Dynospot this afternoon so they can take a listen. The car runs perfectly fine, so I am hoping it is nothing and that I am just being paranoid, specially since I have voided my factory warranty with the SC.
Thanks in advance.

It's the injectors man... With the increased fuel pressure they are really pumping. My injectors ticked a little when stock, and it's much more apparant now with the added pressure.
I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.

The ticking? The ticking is the injectors... We've established that.

I sent you am IM. Bottom line, it is going to be at least a year and they do not want people calling them. They also do not want to commit to anyone at this time. The DBW issue is a real challenge.
Another piece I news I got was about the new pulley set for the supercharger. Comptech is developing a new, smaller, set of pulleys for the supercharger. However, using them will void the supercharger warranty, Comptech will not provide any new fuel tuning for it, and will not be smog legal.
Guess I am sticking with what I have.

Well the new system is good news, but I hope it is released at the same time as the smaller pulleys. I can't believe they won't provide at least a reflash... Why would anyone buy a smaller pulley when they can't use it safely?
