Ok before i posted saying that i was having a weird noise under my hood and thought i need valve adjustments. Well i didnt do the valve adjustments yet but i did that stick to ear trick to look for the noise. But the thing is that its not coming from my head or block. I think it might be coming from my IM. I dont get it. It might just be my intake valves need adjustment, so ill be doing that in about 3 hours when the car cools. But my question is, what could be wrong with the IM if theres weird noises coming from it at 2500rpm, and 5000-5400rpm?

What kind of weird noise? Did you do any engine mods recently? Could be a lot of things, my tranny makes funny noises sometimes.

Its like a raddling noise that only comes on at like 2550 or something. It only comes up on one part of rpm then i dont hear it again. If i rev up to redline and drop it you wont hear it. But my 5000rpm one stays but its not to noticeable.

And no engine mods for a good 2 months due to low funds

any other ideas?

And also, what is a easy way to do a valve adjustment on a GSR motor with just basic tools (wrench, sockets, screwdrivers, etc.) and not that special tool that c-speedracing.com says to get?

if you have a gsr with stock headers then they make a rattling sound....mine did that until i got my turbo and the sound was never heard again. I guess the 2 layers inside the header rattle loose.
