where's the vin suppose to be on a 95 gsr motor ?

I was looking at a complete swap from tranny to engine and i coudln't find the vin anywhere. not on the tranny and the motor. someone told me that obd1 gsr's don't have vin. I know this is a nooby question. Any tip would be helpful. thx

when i got a motor from hmotors it didn't come w/ a vin plate on the tranny

If i'm not mistaken, 94-95 b18c1's dont have the vin stamped on the motor.

i believe it is a sticker on the tranny

Nope, no VIN. There is a motor and tranny #, but those arent the VIN. Some people claim they can "look them up to see if they are stolen" but I have yet to figure out how.

i have a 94 gsr and didnt come with vin number except the sticker on the tranny.

so theres know way to find out if you are buying a stolen gsr motor ( for a 94-95 gsr)????

Nope, I know people claim they can, but I've been around for awhile now and the hell if I know how. I think thats one of those "I looked it up and its clean" bs.
