Default b17a1

Can i use a b17a1 block with a 2000 obd2 b18c1 head? Will it run right the reason is i found a b17 block for cheap and wanted to know if it would work and is it easy to find forged internals for it?

you sure can mate the b17 block and b18c head...internals for the b17a are pretty easy to find as well if you are considering upgrading/rebuilding considering B series = B series to an extent

B17 is a stroked B16. Longer stroke, shorter rod. Great motor and all the parts except for the rods and crank switch over. Rods might be harder to find though.

So in an hour you went from "cheap" to "$3400" for a block.....interesting.

and a full-race turbo kit.....

Sleeved block - $1k
Pistons/rods - $800
Bearings - $200
Valvesprings - $250
Clutch - $400
Intake manifold/TB - $600
Injectors - $250
Engine management - $1k
Boost controller - $300
Turbo kit - $4k

Total of $8800, Im sure I left some things out (P&P, maybe valves/retainers, stock gsr cams should be good to go). That leaves you with $1200 for misc stuff and labor if you need any.
