Default b16a2 block with gsr crank?

is it possible to put a gsr crank, rods and pistons in a b16a2 block therefor making it a 1.8? or do you need some kind of custom rods. ive heard some different things but i wanted to see if anyone has ever done this or know if it can be done. thanks.

I believe this would be considered Stroking the motor and I'm not sure since the b18 block are taller becasue of the bore and stroke is bigger.

If you use the GSR rods I believe it will fit. The B16 has longer rods which is why the deck height is different.

Wrong. The b18c blocks are 7mm taller than b16a blocks. Only way you are going to stroke a b16a using stock parts is to get a b17a crank and rods.

Try and locate a bare b18c block case. They usually go for a couple of hundred. Maybe even a b16b blockcase. Put all of the 1.8 internals in there. *B16b,B18c blocks are the same.*
