What do you need to rebuild your tranny kit? I found a website that sale rebuild and it come with bearings, seals, and brass. Is that all you need?

It depends, whats wrong with it? I rebuilt my B16 tranny myself. And i had to get 3rd and 4th gear, sleeve set and synchros. also 5th gear sleeve set. but my tranny was grinding 3rd, 4th and was popping out of 5th.

 

take it off, inspect it, order parts that need to be replaced.

 

Well, I know for a fact my 3rd and 5th are grinding. Synchros problem and I am going to need to get new throwout bearing. Beside Honda Dealership, where can I buy synchros for my tranny?

do you guy know if GM SYNCHROMEHS FRICTION MODIFIED is the same as PENNZOIL SYNCHROMEHS? Or would the Pennzoil be the same as the REGULARE GM SYNCHROMEHS?

no the GM stuff is way better. i have tried both.

 

i thougth the GM stuff was made by penzoil
