tranny rebuild difficulty
i need to know how difficult it would be to rebuild a tranny. i can handle mechanical tasks, ive just never done anything of this sort. whats the difficulty level and how long should i expect to spend on doin it. thanks

What does rebuild mean? Is it just new synchros and forks, or are you putting a new diff., ring gear, and 5th gear? Hopefully rebuild doesn't mean anything big was broken.

I'd give your self at least a full day or two and maybe 3, just so your not rushed to get it done and screw something up. It's not that hard. Just alot of parts.

its not always the diffulticulty of doing, it is also having the correct tools for the task as well. morethan likely, you will need a press, and a good puller set as well.

yeah i remember when i didn't have a god set of tooks an i was looking forever to get tools that i didn't have. it set me back like 1 fulll work day.. Make sure you have the right tools for sure!and goodluck
