Default hydro locked?

Before anyone tries to bash the story goes like this. I was heading to class today and i came across this puddle. I thought about making a u turn and taking a longer wa to class but then a cop pulled up behind me. So i took my chances and went through the puddle. As soon as my front two wheels went it it rolled for about 3 feet then shut off and kept rolling. I tried to get it started again outside of the puddle and it wont even try to urn over.

So is my motor done or what could the problem be?

same thing happened to me but my car made it through :D
anyways do you have a cold air intake? were you pressing on the gas while going through the puddle? is your car lowered? and how big was the puddle?
does the car give any hesitation in starting? try pushing on the gas and the clutch pedal when starting it might be able to burn some of the water outa the motor , thats what i did and it worked.
motors can handle a little bit of water cause it evaporates

take out your spark plugs and air filter and crank the engine over untill all of the water is out. replace parts and avoid puddles

First off, do you have a CAI? Was the filter wet? Disconnect the CAI from the intake and see if you can determine if any water got up to the intake manifold. If you see that it is wet, dont try and start it again. pull your spark plugs and turn the motor over and see if any water comes out of your spark plug holes. If it does let it dry, do an oil change and pray to the honda gods that you didnt bend a rod or blow your head gasket.

Water doesnt compress like air does. And it is stronger than your engine. It will break something when it gets in. Rod, Piston, head gasket, maybe all.

ps...when you crank the engine..squirt some oil in the plug holes...make sure you keep them spark plugs away..or disconnect the injectors..fuel will be spraying out of the plug holes...spark + fuel + a rookie I know = toasted h22 swapped ek coupe
