where to tap in a boost gauge??
I am installing a turbo on a 2000 honda civic si b16. I was wondering where to tap in the line to get the most accurate reading. Its a manual guage. Any pictures would help too.

pick up a vacuum manifold and run all you vacuum sources off of it. fast turbo was selling them on here a wile back for like 30 bucks i think. tap into your break booster line and you are good to go.
I don't buy into the vacuum manifold idea. It's nice if you don't have an aftermarket intake manifold with a lot of outputs, but I have a Victor X, and there are more than enough fittings so you don't need to use a vacuum manifold. I just T-ed off from my FPR to go to the gauge.

It isn't a good idea to "T" off your FPR line. Try to keep that un cut as much as possible.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Well, when you use a vacuum manifold, you are basically doing the same thing.

You won't really have any problems with it being tapped from the FPR. I guess I am over doing it a little bit. If it blows off anywhere on the manifold you are pretty much screwed. I just don't like it being on a vital part of my fuel system.

Damn, I was looking for that reply and didn't see it until you came along. That was going to be my $.02 to add to this.
