I just turboed my 00 Si with the Greddy Kit and wanted to know if it would be smart to run methanol in order to up the boost by a pound or two just to get alittle more HP any opinions welcome thanx guys

 

Its smart no matter what, It would allow you to run some more boost as long as you have the headroom in your fuel system.

 

What kind of numbers are you putting down? More details on the setup?

It's not a bad idea, but your goal of a little more power could probably be acheived much easier than a methanol system.

 

I got the car street tuned with the greddy kit on my stock b16 and i just wanted to know if it would be safe to run a methanol kit and up the boost by 2 pounds because i'm running 8psi right now on a P06 chipped with crome

Just get retuned at 10 psi on pump, no need to go to methanol.

add the methanol and get it retuned on 10. you won't believe the difference between the 2.
