Default B-series crank case pulley

is there any trick to taking off the crank case pulley bolt? i got the removal tool, but this thign is on rediculously tight and i don't want to break it.

your not gonna break it , itll break your tools before it breaks . You can just get a huge breaker bar or an impact wrench if you have a compressor .

When I had to swap out my timing belt, I went to a local shop and had them throw there impact on it to break it free, then retighten it to spec. No charge (I tipped them a pizza tho), and all you have to do is turn the wheels in a certain direction and the gun fits right in. Takes about 20 seconds. Once the bolt has been broken free and retightened, it will be much easier to take off at home.

If you have the removal tool you don't really need any tricks exept may be spray it withe some PB blaster and let it soak overnight. I took the bolt out under 5 secs with my milwaukee electric impack gun, rated 300 ft.lbf. I have the tool but I only used it for re-tightening the bolt back on to spec.
