i just recently purchased this hatchback, after dropping the vehicle, i realized the wheel is off centered (pushed back a little and has a little more camber than the driver side). so i changed out the lower control arm thinking that would fix it, which didn't.
so what could be the problem? get a camber kit? body shop?

the car could've hit a curb and shifted the cradle/crossmember up front. is the other good? go to an alignment shop and ask them if your cradle shifted and could it be aligned (i'm pretty sure you can).

 

the driver side is good, no problems.
any alignment shop does this?...

my 96 is the same way, last owner hit a curb or something pretty hard. alignment won't fix that, the impact probably slightly bent where the LCA mounts to the frame.

 

i dealt with this at school... we did an alignment on one of friends car and he had it and our instructors helped us correct it. any alignment shop should be able to do it, just ask them. all they do is loosen the cradle bolts and have about 4 people with crowbars and shift it, at least thats what we did. good luck

also check to see if you have anything bent when the car is in the air... i got a feeling there might be.

 

its hard to tell if something is bent, b/c something bent a few mm at the mounting point ends up being a few CM at the wheel. Most likely the subframe is bent, and you gotta replace that.

 

if the subframe (crossmember) is physically bent an alignment will NOT fix it.

i have never see a honda crossmember shift (holes arent slotted).

have it aligned (or try to), make sure to tell them about the problem, they will let you know if its something bent, or what, if it is the subframe its going to have ALOT of cross caster, and will pull a noticeable amount.

strut rod bushing could also be bad, or front crossmember bent. strut rod could be bent as well. ANY competant alignment shop would be able to find the source of the problem and help you figure out whats best to fix it.
