Upgrades w/ OBDII
Hey all,
after browsing through this forum, I've seen some incredible S2Ks. However, I am at a complete loss as to how one can modify their car to the extent of needing an aftermarket engine management system and how they can get their car inspected.
Here in NC, all they do (for an S2K) is connect the inspection computer to your OBDII port, download a "No CEL" code, make an internet transaction with Raleigh DMV, and you exchange $20 for a sticker. You can't just pay some guy to give you a sticker because of the whole DMV transaction. They'll just end up sending you a fine...
I'd love to hear some personal testimonies as to how you "get around" this "problem".

...and if you have 12.5:1 CR knowing a stock ECU couldn't prevent the engine from destroying itself at idle?
It just seems like there's got to be a better way.
