Default Jolt when (un)loading engine (throttle movement) .... engine mount?!?

Hi Guys,

I have a 00 Si and when the engine gets unloaded, for example when Im in 2nd gear at 3500rpm at about 75% throttle or more, and then I completely let off of the pedal, the car jerks as usual when you let off in gear, but after the normal jerk there is more of a jolt, and it feels like something hitting something. Also when Im reversing and letting the clutch out to get the car moving in reverse it does the jolting noise too. Also noticed some possibly related creaks and stuff... Im thinking it could possibly be an engine mount is gone, but my friend also suggested a CV could be bad. Im not so sure about that since it doesnt make any clicking noise when I turn or anything.

What do you guys think?

Thanks

mine does that same ****. i think it's the rear mount. you can check the torque mounts more easily than the rear because the rear is almost totally covered by the bracket.

I got an oil change today, and was told that it was the lower drivers side mount which was broken... which is the mount in the front. I was wondering if this is difficult to change or not? They told me it takes 2 hours of labor to replace it... but im not so sure. Is that mount a simple matter of support the engine, unbolt the old rubber, put the new one in, and let the engine go or is it more involved?

Thanks

Goto pep boys, give them like 30 bucks, go to the nearest Circle K or if you live up north Wawa, grab a 6 pack, invite over a friend to share them with u, while he watches you change your front motor mount in about 10 minutes... Than you still have 4 beers left, an a whole day to go riding around in your newly installed front engine mount honda

that would be the torque mount. easy as hell to replace. go buy a new one, unbolt the old one and replace with the new one. no need to support the weight of the engine as you only need to do that when you're removing the upper mounts.
