Default Neptune

Do I still have to hook up the IAC valve if I plan on tuning with Neptune? Reason being, I just got everything up and running the R tonight, actually got to hear it turn over for the first time in 6 months and I still have 1 vacuum line that used to go to the IM, but now its just kinda hanging.

The only line off the vacuum can I could really put on the IAC would be if I took the one off the black box thingy below the ITB's (don't know what its called but has a nipple for a line) and put it on the IAC.

Im not sure about this one, dunno how the vacuum lines are set up for ITBs. Id ask Jack at P1, Jeff at http://www.evans-tuning.com forum (boosted hybrid here on HT) or http://www.hrtuning.com forum. That black box you are talking about sounds like the breather box for the PCV return?? That wont work as a vacuum connection AFAIK. I would assume you dont need it at all.

haha that black box might be the PCV return, but I put a vacuum line on it haha...I suppose I will just leave it the way I have it and let Jeff look at it Friday when I tow it up there. I had to T into a bunch of lines off the vacuum can to hook up everything so I hope all is well...

I started it tonight and it ran for like 2 seconds like **** and then cut off, back fired, and white smoke came up...I assume its just gas and oil that was burning off from sitting sooo long. Smelled like gas/exhaust so I assume its ok.

I figured it wouldn't run since I added the ITB's, SMSP header, and it is open header right now...

you don't HAVE to hook up the iacv, but it'll be a pita to maintain a good idle upon coastdown and not shut off...

get a line to your vacuum canister and you'll be straight.

yea I went ahead and T'ed into another line off the canister and put it on the IAC so now everything is hooked up.

car won't start, except for a split second and shuts off...can't wait to get it tuned.

I would hang on to these until you get your ITB's tuned and you are happy with them.
