I got a z6 trans with a busted case, took it apart, inspected it, put it in a cx case.


bearings have been inspected and everything looks good
mainshaft and differential clearances have been checked.
all gears and mainshaft clearances have been mic'd and inspected.

I have a giant pool of synchros, used synchros from a fresher dx trans that I tore down for the 4.058 final drive for my other close ratio trans.

yes, I've seen ex trans go for as low as $100. I've bought two of them, and they both grinded 3rd in high rpms. I guarantee you that this won't grind any gears.


Edited cause I had 200 in here and 175 in my sig lol

ughhhh bense man, help me out hahaha i NEEEEED a trans!! BADDD!! i got 2 y8's one grinds every gear and is hard to shift while having a horrible rattling noise in there.. the other is fine... just doesnt go into 2nd...

then i got a z6, same problem as the first y8 but this one pops outta 3rd and 5th and leaks ALOT...

then like 3 dx's... garbage..

ill send one of these to you if you could rebuild them for me... or teach me! or sell me one of your wicked ones .... if i can teach myself to build a car.. im sure i can rebuild a trans... just not to much out there to learn from, point me in the right direction of resources to learn this shitt... please..
