Default any one have any issues with GCs

Has any one had any issues whick highering or lowering using GCs

I was tryin to raise my car up last week and i couldnt turn the allen key.. the screw was really tight, should i use any breaker bar?

I actually had to cut my collars and buy new ones. Good luck getting them loose.

that is what happens when you tighten the **** out of them.


Its an allen, it DOESN'T NEED to be that tight, just getting it snug will keep it from moving. Hell they wont move even if you don't tighten it at all

what should i do? if i use a long pipe as a breaker bar with this brea the screw?

maybe try spraying some PB Blaster or other penetrating oil on and around the area of the allen screw and collar.

I have not had this problem with mine, but then again, I live in southern california

Yea, never too tight. Think about it: allen bolts aren't made to be applied all that much pressure. Just look at them and you'll figure it out, it's not that hard.

Mine is stuck like that too except I was still able to move the collar. I broke my allen wrench trying to get it loose again. Good luck with that.
