I am going 18s on my 5th gen 2001 prelude. Tell me if this is a bad idea? Im using it for street and everyday driving. Havent planned on what I should be gettin as of yet, 17s or 18s since I want to hear more suggestions and opinions.

Thx in advance.

I'd go with 16s at the most. For everyday use 17s are as big as you really want to go. Large, heavy rims will slow your car down.

my point exactly! KONIG wheels are quite heavy, especially 18's. you can expect the to be like 30lbs a pop. that means you'll be slower and your braking distances will be somewhat affected.not smart. or, you could get some light 16" wheels and improve your acceleeration and braking. take your pick.

17 ok

Hey. I just noticed that you're from Philadelphia. I'm selling a set of 17" OZ Racing Superleggeras cheap, and I want to sell them locally. They are a perfect fit for a 5th gen Prelude, and they are lighter than most 16" wheels are going to be... Not to mention they look great too, and they are not that common a wheel...

Pics of these rims on my car can be found in my signature link.

Let me know if your friend might be interested.

Andrew
