Is it going to hurt anything if I keep adding oil to compensate for burning?
I have a 97 prelude SH with about 155k miles on it. Right around 146k I had the block pulled and honed with new type S standard size pistons and rings installed. The car runs fine, but it burns about 1.1 quarts or so of oil ~every 1000 miles so I need to keep checking it every week or so and adding oil.
Is this going to harm the engine? I would rather not spend more money for machine work if I can get along fine with just adding oil.
It is a very high mileage engine, so should I just have it pulled again and steel sleeved?

No this is common, our preludes burn a lot of oil. Just make sure you have enough and you should be good to go.
THANK GOD!!! i thought i was the only one buring this much oil. I was ready to buy a whole rebuild kit for my car. It burns some oil when i take it to vtec but thats it. Never at idle just when im driving really hard. I was so worried my engine was gone. Plus i have no oil leaks besides a very small one on the valve cover with is being repaired asap
I wouldn't say it's "okay", but if it drives okay and there's no other external leaks then there isn't much you can do unless you break it down and rebuild it again.
You're basically changing your oil every month by adding more oil.

Mine burns about the same depending on how I drive it, it sucks since it gets costly but it won't harm anything.
well like i said it runs strong and the only noise it has ever made is the little burp when it turns off due to the intake. If i dont bag the living hell out of it, an oil change will last a while. I tend to change the oil every 3500kms or 4000kms. Either way i change it before the recommended 5000kms. I was just so lost why i had to keep putting a little more oil every few weeks after alot of hard driving. im not to worried now, i read up on how preludes purposely burn oil in vtec. I understand why mine burns as much as it does, haha i hit vtec a minimum of five times every drive. It has never acutally burnt blue out of the exhuast ever either. only one time when it was Really low on oil and due for an oil change, and not more than 5 minutes. ( i added a little before the change)

I don't think you can run Type-S pistons with aftermarket sleeves.
