Default Need Help with Fiberglass Wing Fabrication!!please

ok everybody i just got an aftermarket ctr wing for my ek for free.(not the real thing dont worry!) and its already painted. 1st. What would be the best process like sand paper grit to start and finish with to get it really smooth and ready for work and paint. 2nd. I want to modify the top part, not the base plate to make it similar to the backyard special ctr wing. Does anybody know a good way to modify it to make it look clean and like it was make that way.

If your looking to sand it down and repaint it, just just a 180 grit first. then 320 grit then finish with a 600 grit to remove all of the sand scratches. that should work. As for modifying the wing i dont know what you want it to look like, but you can use fiberglass to change the shape of it. or add what ever you want to it. i hope i helped..

if you want the top of your ctr wing to angel up a bit, this is what i did in the past. loosen up the screws that hold both the top and bottom, and from the back part of the wing, place a small tubing(i used chop sticks) between the two. then tighten the screws, by doin this it makes the front of the wing tilt down since there is something behind it keeping it up. that will ad a little kick. from a side view of the car it looks better then having the wing flat.
