Does anyone out there have the HKS hi-power exhaust on their car?? How does it sound, any good power gains?

i have it on my 06 type S. power gains arent that noticable but damn it sounds good. its deep and crisp. not really raspy at all. did you get hte sound clip off of hksusa.com? if so check it out. problem with the catback is the way the muffler is offsetted. its slanted(i like that) but it slanted so where it kinda burns your bumper.

 

thats cool, ill just cut a little bit out of the bumper i had to do it before on other cars

 

yeah i need to dremel is off. so it doenst get a chunk of hte bumper. haha luckily my car is black so you cant see the exhuast burned color on teh bumper.

 

i have the hks exhaust on my ep3, power gains not noticeable, but like everyones saying god damn it sounds sexy as hell, you will love it, best mod yet for me i would have to say

 

i have it on my 05-s its good. if u want some power pic up a race header and an CAI

 

Yeah unfortunately my car is white so ill have to modify it but its all good its easy.
I already have a CAI and im deff. going to get a header prob the buddy club and i might order the exhaust tomorrow.

 

sorry to thread jack but, what are the pwoer gain differneces from a shorty and full race header? and wont the CEL come on with the raceheader because of no catalytic convertter? wont you need a kpro to get that CEL off?

 

shorty gives u about 5% of the power a race header does and all u need to do is make a defouler for the secondary o2 sensor. cost like 20 bucks

 

so how much can you gain with a decent race header? like 15 whp with a tune? and how loud is this thing with a catback

 

how is the interior sound? loud? barable? thanks...

 

uhmm it drones a bit, but its not that bad.
