AEM 1000 for obd-0???? what all would i have to do?

Default AEM 1000 for obd-0???? what all would i have to do?

like the title says...what would i have to do to get the AEM 1000 obd-1 box to work on my obd-0 B16??? could i just get a obd0 -obd1 jumper harness and then switch to a obd1 distributer???? any advice/help appreciated. thanks.

Convert the car to OBD1 first ..... dizzy obd 1 / injectors obd 1 / jumper obd 1 / and then you will have a OBD1 car ( like 92-95 ) then the AEM will wrk just fine.

If you run the AEM unit, you can keep the pre-obd (OBD0) distributor and change the trigger settings in the AEM unit. You also do not need the OBD1 injectors either. Just install the AEM unit, along with an pre-OBD (OBD0) to OBD1 conversion harness and you are set.

hey thanks alot man....i called the local tuner dude, (the guy that is tuning my car and he said all i need is the dizzy and the jumper harness....im gonna have to ask him about the trigger settings thing....thanks again.

I am 1million% positive on the changing the settings. Go to the AEM forums and search around old posts about it.

Good info we did a ef yesterday that way for the first time and it worked perfect ! Up until now we have always changed everything....thank you

that is AWESOME!!! that will save me like 100 bucks. im gonna call the dude thats tuning my car tonight and see what he has to say about it. ill let you guys know...thanks again.
