so i just got my 02 si about a week ago when tonight im standing in a empty parking garage with some friends when im talking to my g/f who is sitting in the driver seat...when im about to close the door the rear hatch window completely shatters....the bottom left and bottom right are punched out and the entire thing has spider cracks all through out it and there was nothing thrown through it or anything we were pretty isolated

does anyone have any idea what could of caused this? sudden change of tempature? wtf? im getting annoyed because every car i have seems to have some random problem im bringing back to the dealership tomarrow they better replace this shiz!

there were no cracks at all before this

 

there could of been a realy small crack that u couldnt have seen or maybe there was something in the way when u closed the hatch that it hit the window and it shattered it.

i wasn't touching the hatch i was actually shutting the driver door and i didn't even close it all the way and it just went pop...i actually wasn't to pissed about it breaking im more pissed at the fact i know its gonna take the damn dealership forever to fix cause i actually work at a toyota dealership... i hate dealerships!

Ahahahahaaha thats so funny i wish i was there to see it. Yeah theres a lot of air presure when you shut the door. Everytime i shut my door i can see my sun roof lifting a little bit. it might have been instaled wrong, but i feel you on the dealership thing they suck and work so slow. good luck man
