H22 EG owners chime in. Clutch removal & install
It looks tight in there, I just thought I'd ask someone who has done it before with this particular setup. Also, which method would you recommend doing? Dropping entire engine assembly, dropping just trans, or pulling motor out of top. Helpful hints are always nice! Anyone in the Mooresville, NC have access to a garage, because unfortunatley I can't do this at my APT. Or know of a reputable shop, that deals with swapped honda's or is atleast familiar with them.

all you need is to pull the transmission. It would be MUCH easier to take the engine out and then do that, but you need to find a way to take the engine/tranny combo first.
Take all out, do the clutch and the timing belt at the same time. Hondas have tight engine compartments, especially a EG with an H22 in it.

changed my clutch in my car about 2 months ago(EK). i just pulled the tranny and left the engine in, however, i highly recommend pulling the engine. it is ******* crammped in there. like deadend said it makes it much easier.
i always remove the tranny rather the whole engine because yes it is a bitch but if you r going timing belt too then drop the whole engine out.i alway pull the motor from underneath because it was the easiest for me.i had no lift so i use jack stands and jack. be carefull not to brake the tps sensor that is the first thing u overlook.
See, I have never DROPPED and engine or tranny. I have pulled many out of the top, but I had a lift, Now I am in college, and not all my big tools are here, So I will be forced to drop it! I think the guy before me broke the tps doing the samething. So out of the bottom ay? Any write ups?
I found it much easier going in from the bottom, but that'd be tricky without a lift. Personally, I'd drop the whole thing and not mess around. It seems it's always my luck that it would be almost apart except for like one bolt you can't get and you end up having to drop it anyways.

Just remove the pass mount bolt and drop the motor down a bit with a jack and pull out the tranny from the bottom . I suggest you lift your car on jacks as high as possible .
