didn't know the usdm ones were glass but....

but there are reasons for difference because of different standards

DOT standards are different from japanese standards.

USDM are glass. the corner is plastic. high beam is brighter. 9006 low/9005 high. brighter.

jdm ones are plastic. no nipples. 1 piece. high beam sucks. H4 low/H1 high. looks better.

i dont know bout yall but i dont think the light is worse on the jdm then the usdm. my white lude had usdm on it for now and my silver had jdm. light output seems the same IMO besides the obvius silverstars vs reg bulbs. and yeah they use diff bulbs period highs and lows. thats why you havta either cut and splice or buy some adapters.

No they don't. USDM uses 9006/9005 bulb. JDM uses H1 and H4 bulb. Completely different socket and connection so your going to have to re-wire you harnesses. (Peice of cake though there is a great write about the whole installation around here)

Also USDM headlights are glass. Also I personally think my lights look just as good as USDM. If you guys are having problems, perhaps you didn't adjust the headlights properly or something and have your bulbs angled up? I don't know just a thought, but there are adjustment settings you can make to the headlight.

alittle O/T, but does anyone know the level of light output of the brights on the CDM ludes which have DRL in the brights position?

Would this be the same bulb setup as the JDM? It would be good to know if I would need to cut wires on my car.

Thanks.
