Help with Civic Purchase
Im looking to buy a civic with and engine swap, but im not exactly sure about what engine was swaped. He siad it was swapped from a 95, or 97 honda or acura. its a SOHC 16 valve. Just wondering what engine this could be
Greatly appreciated

Knowing that the dipstick is ion the middle of the header doesn't really confirm what engine it is. It could be a D16Z6, D15B7/8, etc. Look at the block, at pho^k already said, and look towards to the left and it should give the engine code.

its cool its cool, but yah you'll have to look for a stamp on the left side of the header/heat shield depending on if it has a header or a stock exhaust manifold with a heat shield blah blah anyways the stamp will start with D16xx, once you know that then we can tell you if its got vtec. What year is the car, also what trim is the car. those would help us out on determining if it has a swap as well.
oh yah welcome to honda-tech
