Will 8500 RPM's hurt my engine or is it ok.
its not recommended.
btw, chips suck. And where did you get this chip from?
i would highly advise getting your engine TUNED.

Pre-set fuel maps suck, that coupled with a 8,500 rev limit is cutting it. I hope your smack isn't stock cuz it's stupid to rev that high. 95% of all H22's will stop making power and/or make peak power at around ~7200rpms, so why you would want to go higher is beyond me.
I would be most concerned about stretching a rod. If that happens, well I hope that you have deep pockets. Head damage along with crank and block damage. pretty much motor replacement.

Damm thats high...i can feel my power drop off after around 7200 so really no need to rev too much higher than that anyway.

there would be no way u would ever get me to do that in mine, my average shift when im racing someone is 7600rpm, or 7800 at the most, there would be no way i would push mine to 8200rpm cuz i dont want my valves to start floating.
I had one of those so called chips on a H22 Accord. After a few months maybe with a few over 8000 RPM shifts I soon had to invest in Ferrea valves for my engine. Hope this helps. Get a MSD and set the revs to no more than 8000 , or remove the chip.
