Hey whats up,
so i got a civic ex 97 w/ gsr swap (95).
Was running fine for a whiel then then the tach and speed sensor gauge started jumping and then the speed gauge just stopped working. shortly after that the car died and wouldnt start. the car would start when jumped then die after a little while (most likely the power draining out of the battery)

figured bad alternator.. put in a new oneand everytime i try to start the motor (jumping it) the fuse labeled (alternator/ sp sensor) blows. i made sure it was grounded and i checked my wires and they seem alright. put a new fuse in a few times and they blow everytime.. tried a 10amp instead of a 7.5 also.

anyone know why this is happening?

What are the exact codes your throwing?
If the fuse is blowing,you probably have a short to GND. That fuse goes to a brown wire to your alternator. Try this. Wiggle the harness under your intake manifold and put the fuse back in...

Im willing to bet your engine harness is rubbing through the intake manifold support. Repair the wire and zip tie the harness away fro the bracket...
