ABS Light on after new struts/coilovers
So I have new struts and coilovers.. at first i just had coilovers on the front.. and then ran into bolts rusted into bushings on the back.. so i went ahead and bought new struts.. did the back right and both front and then ran into a small problem on the back left with another rusted bolt.. lol yea on a 2000.. anyways.. 3 days after i did 3 of the 4 struts i finally finished my rear left one.. and when i went to drive it it rode fine but threw a ABS light.. I checked to make sure i didnt clip or pull out the anti-lock break lines that run behind the rear struts.. and maybe this light isnt an big deal... help would be awesome
i will check it.. how could that have happened.. and if i did is it serious? or is it just an annoying light?
thanks
thanks
Since the wiring for the ABS sensor runs through the shock in the rear, my guess is, you pulled, twisted or did something that it didnt like too much. Like I said, pull the code, see whats wrong and go from there.....you seem to have a lack of motivation to even try to figure out whats wrong makes me think you dont really want help and you just want it to magically go away.
its not that at all.. i live in an Apt. at college.. and i can only get to my garage on the weekends at home..plus the fact im a full time student and i work i dont have much week day spare time.. so i figured i would try and get as much feedback as possible before i do anything this weekend.. sorry i didnt want yours and yours alone
Very well, but installing a paper clip in the jumper connector and turning the key to the "ON" position to retrieve the code doesnt take but 5 minutes and then you'll know if its a wheel sensor or something else.
