Default Headlight questions for an EG

Does anyone know if there is a headlight for an eg that uses the 9006/9005 headlight set up?

Thanks,

Jack

None that I'm aware of - it would have to be custom. Why are you looking for this?

I wanted to upgrade my lighting without having to invest in HID's.

There are other ways of doing that without running a headlight that uses a 9006/9005 combination.

Silicone completely destroys the plasti-chrome that the headlight reflectors are made of... if you use silicone to reseal your headlights or use it so that fumes in any way get inside the housing be prepared for TERRIBLE lighting...

I couldn't figure out why my headlights were so dim.... until I read somewhere about the silicone killing the relector material... after I swapped them out sure enough... ALL of the nice shiney chrome was dull and cracked/peeled.

Def. don't use silicone.

From what i've read, there is nothing you can do to improve the eg headlights - other than an HID Retrofit...

NOT just a HID Kit.. a Retrofit with projectors and a CLEAR lenses headlights.

You can buy or retro the TYC One piece, or you can also try and retro ebay projectors

imo: ebay look really crappy...

--------------------------------------------------------

I say go and buy the Clear Lens TYC replacements, and see if the output is better with those

if not you've done the first step to retrofitting.

If you wanted to stay with halogen, you could also try to source some E-code headlamps from an EDM Civic. Combined with a set of high-performance halogen bulbs such as Philips Vision Plus, they should provide a decent improvement over the stock DOT units.
