Default Which tranny fluid to use??

Steve at hmotors recommended Redline with an LSD additive but no shops around me carry it. Is there any other recommended brand that has an LSD additive that I can ask for?

Add that to any tranny fluid you prefer.

trying to find something local. So far the mechanic Im using (good friend) said that none of the shops around us carry redline products. Which is why im trying to find an alternative. After searching, Im seeing a lot of vouches for GM Synchromesh with Friction Modifier. Will this work if I can get my hands on it? Steve said the LSD is a Cusco if that has any bearing

Lucas is available at any auto parts store.

Synchromesh is available at chevy dealerships.

I would first find out what type of LSD you have. Then I would ask said manufacture what they recommend using in your particular transmission with their LSD.

It is important to use 80W/90 GL-5 specification gear oil on Kaaz LSD. We highly recommend using our own Kaaz LSD fluid.

DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC BASE OIL ON KAAZ LSD. Kaaz LSD may not function smoothly.</TD></TR></TABLE>
