Default Synthetic oil

IS SYNTHETIC OIL GOOD FOR THE HONDA ENGINE AT 80 THOUSAND MILES OR SHOULD I GO FOR REGULAR OIL?

You can keep using dino oil, it'll be just fine.

Conventional oil at the recommended change intervals is perfectly sufficient.

its a Honda, plus its a D. You will not see any gains in using syntec, just losses because you'll be wasting your money.

Keep regular oil changes and stay dino oil. No need to upgrade now.

I boosted my car at 125k and started using Mobil1 at this point for a couple reasons....

1) Synthetic is all the turbo has ever seen
2) I saw the difference in cleanliness of the engine after running synthetic oil (I got the oil pan from the guy who sold me the kit)
3) Synthetic oil can withstand higher temps for an extended amount of time without significant breakdown...

For the OP, I wouldn't change oils if you car is relatively stock....

for turbo apps, you MUST use syntec if you want it to last. An econo engine simply does not need that kind of lubrication unless ur trying to drive ur car to a milllion miles.
