LS/Vtec white smoke...
I have a LS/VTEK done at a shop in PA...A golden eagle kit was put on the
teg. Unfortunately, white smoke exits out the exhaust when I let go off the
gas and a deep smell of fumes enters my interior vents as well...
Can anyone give me an idea of the problem...The shop said it could probably be the valve stem seals...Any other suggestions??? Dont want my son and I smelling this when he's with me...
thanks guyz

Yes valve seals could be it, I would do seafoam first...let that stuff clean it it out a bit. Then see if the problem continues, now don't get scared when you put in the seafoam that car is going to pretty much detox, so to say! hahaha! That is going to smoke...but keep it running take it for a spin around the block, give it a few revs, this way it breaks all the crap losse...If it continues afterwards, I'd say shell out the money or do it your self...What kind of mileage was on that head?
seafoam isnt gonna do anything. You are burning coolant. coolant burns white, and leaves a smell and film on the inside of the car. if it is coolant, then valve seals isnt gonna do anything for you. i'd pressure check your rad for leaks. If you were burning oil, then it would be blue smoke, and if the engine was full of carbon (which is what you use seafoam to get rid of) then you would have black smoke and soot comin from the exhaust.
I purchase the head gasket my self from golden eagle....It came out the shop smoking...when I would let off the gas...I guess I get it it pressured checked before I spend the money...but if not the head gasket what else?
thanks guyz for your help

you've used the wrong headgasket in the ls/vtec build.
Golden Eagle insists on using VTEC head gaslets in thier ls/v kits, meanwhile the non-vtec (b18a/b) headgasket is the one that you should have used.
the enigne has never had a seal at the headgasket since initial startup.
blown headgsket explains the white smoke and the smell.
my guess.

but the motor has been opened up obviously. if he replaced it with a new oem honda head gasket it shouldnt blow out white smoke unless he overheated the $hit out of his car and blew it.

I don't think it is your valve seals or rings because burning oil has a bluish color. do a cooling system pressure test because white smoke is water vapors. I think water is getting inside your combustion chambers.
i agree with this this answer the reason your getting whit smoke is because you have coolant in the combustion chamber an inherent problem with older cars and those with bad head gaskets, you ahould take it back to the shop which installed it and conplain about this problem, also this means that you motor is not getting the proper ammount of cooling it needs.......could lead to other problems down the road good luck......oh ya DONT use seafoam, it does nothing to help with carbon deposits on older cars my friends and I have used this to test the myth and it came up ZERO, didn't help at all, and i know because we pulled the motor appart and looked
