how much should one pay at the shop for CV joints
im pretty sure that the griding clicking noise coming from my front wheel is a bad CV joint....it only happens when i make a strong right turn. i havent been able to jack the car up but a few people ive talked to told me the DC2 joints are bad, and that the symptons im experiancing are exactly the same as they did.
how much should i expect to pay at a shop for this to get fixed? how much is the part, how much is labor
i cant do this stuff myself, because i have no garage space at all and no time

make it a DIY...axle is about $65 after the core charge, and if you and a buddy have a little time get some beer and get it done
Ive been having a clicking sound happen .. any time ill backup my car ... or when I start to go in first ill hear it click.
Also when im driving sometimes ill shift and ill hear the click.A lot of ppl tell me its the CV joint but when I hear other ppls symptons they sound like they are a different sound or at different times.
I have noticed that they car wont pull like it would b4 .. it seems like slugish sometimes when im pulling out going up hill or at an angel , that maybe clutch but ive only noticed it since the clicking , Does this sound like your problem ?
I was wondering on repair cost too , and ppl tell me to just get new axles .... sorry to thread jack but im just wondering myself

yea im having similar problems
i think my clutch is slipping a bit but ive been driving easy and it hasnt been a problem anymore
well i went to the shop and apparently its the wheel bearing. which is gay because i just got my rear bearing replaced because it was having a vibrating sympton. i have a feeling im gonna get a call from the shop saying that it was also the CV joints and im gonna have to pay more, this cars suspension is all messed up, the HR coilovers on the car are almost 2 years old

DIY..it doesnt even take that long, but id do both sides at once so that you dont have any sort of uneven wear. im a symmetry guy.
