Default Supension height trouble

The previous owner of my teg had coil overs on the car that he removed before selling it to me. When I got the car I noticed that the rear was way to high. I asked whether he tightened the suspension parts after taking the car off jackstands in the lowered postion. He said it didn't matter.

So I tore into the rear suspension tonight and loosened all the lower control arm bolts, lowered the car, jumped up and down in the trunk to settle the car, and tightened the bolts. There is still way too much elevation. The car's rear feels extremely unstable and bounces off the ground if I hit a bump.

Before I start do loosen ALL bushing bolts and try to tighten them again, does anyone have any clues as to what would cause this? Maybe the previous owner put the front springs on the rear?

sounds like a shock and/or spring problem to me, not the bushings. Are they the stock springs?

Yeah they are the stock springs. How can I telll if the strut & springs are for the front or rear? Different height? If it isn't the bushings or springs how can I tell if the struts are bad?

I forgot to mention that the spare tire, jak, and sound deading has been removed. Maybe I should have someone sit in the trunk while I retighten the suspension bolts?

The front sits way low. I'm going to try to swap the springs back tonight.

Are there a difference between right and left springs?

oh, are you sayin your car supposedly has stock springs on?? and ride heights are uneven front and rear?

if so, then yes, i think the springs are switched up. the rears should be progressive, fronts are linear.

no, there is no difference left and right.

The coilovers were replaced witht the stock springs. Sorry forgot to mention that.

The front sits low and the rear sits very high. I compared it to another stock Integra and there is a huge difference.

Thanks for the help!

The springs were in the right configuration. After measuring again, the fronts were 13mm thick, and the rears were 12mm thick. OK!

I found that the cause of the problem was the rear strut rods were bent and unable to compress at all.

Thanks for the help anyways!
