rear suspension "clicks" when going over bump
When going over bumps, mostly at slow speeds, I can hear my suspension make a clicking sound. I thought maybe the stock shocks were blown but two weeks ago I replaced the stock shock with Tokico blues and the clicking didn't go away. Each side does it – if I go into a driveway at an angle, for instance, I can hear each side click. Any guesses as to what it could be?

did you check the upper and lower shock bolts? the one on the bottom and the 2 in the trunk? (per side)

I've got H&R Sport springs. The bolts all seem tight (i'll double check them) and I don't have a rear sway bar.

The clicking is a washer on the strut being slapped, just like your sister last night. Sorry, just joking.
I would try to tighten the strust that is clicking...

Yeah, I'll take a look at that.

That's ecactly what I thought, too – too much "junk in the trunk." Holla! Then I realized I didn't have my tools in there anymore.

Anyone got any pics or a detailed description of what you are talking about. I have stock everything, and I don't know crap about suspension. Thanks

Re: rear suspension "clicks" when going over bump (POS Hatchback)
i'd be interested in more info on that. Even if I just crawl over a bump, it clicks - I'd think I'd have to be going faster for the sister-slapping washer noise.

When you lift your car up, like jack up the back end does it make this weird cliking noise? Mine does, same whenever I take a turn at under 10 MPH.

Re: rear suspension "clicks" when going over bump (Damon)
I am suspension stupid. Leaking damper? Cause the nosie he describes as clicking or bumping noise is the same noise I get when I take a turn or go over a small speed bump. When lifting the car up, I get a similer set of bumps and clicks too. Do you think it is 2 different problems? What should I look for to see if everyhting is working? Thanks for your help

i have a stock suspension and i think mine does this too. Or something similar too it. Not really a clicking noise...well maybe it is..i can't really descripe it. I think it usually happens when i'm making a faster turn though. Or i go down a dip or something kinda fast.
