Default extreamly noob question

im prolly gonna get flamed for asking this but please try to keep it to a minimum. whats a dizzy? i feel like such a douche for even asking this. oh and then why would i have to disconnect it to do a compression test?

I don't think you need to disconnect the distributor to do a compression test, since the plugs and wires are already removed anyway. But you do need to remove the EFI fuse so that the fuel injectors won't spray fuel into the cylinders and flood the engine.

wow that wasnt so bad thanks guys. okay so i did a compression test b4 in my autotech class and we couldnt find the efi fuse but we did pull out the ecu fuse and then took the spark plugs out. did the test and i got 125psi across the board and then did a wet test and it shot up to 150psi so my rings are worn which sucks.

are you supposed to do WOT when doing compression test?? that's what i heard so i just wanna make sure

Yes you are. When I do a comp test I pull the 15A fuse for the injectors.
