Hatch problems
I just bought a 92 Hatch, and the rear hatch has a small dent in it. It wont open. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can get it open and fix it, without causing any further body damage?
If the hatch was not opened for long enough the hinges might have seized up. The good news is if that has happened pull the handle to release the latch and just give it a go hard shake and pull the hinge pin should brake free enough to get it open. the bad news is I have not found anyway of relubing the hing pins. You will just have to replace them
It might be that, but I think the dent might have made it so it can no longer open, easily that is. I'm sure I could force it, but I wondered if there was a technique that would avoid further damage.
I was hoping to get a CF hatch eventually, it's just not in the budget now. Body work and engine swap first
