I have a 92-95 dx coupe with a d16a swap in it. The d16a is a vtec motor, extremely rare( any information on it would be appreciated). anyway i didn't do the swap myself and i have two problems. The first one is that there are two wires coming from my vtec solenoid, one is a ground and the other isn't connected to anything. Any wiring diagrams would be appreciated, or where its supposed to go. Also my rev limit is 6000 rpms, which doesnt makes sense because its a vtec engine and it should make power to atleast 6800. Could my previous owner have used the ecu from a dx? any help or ideas appreciated

thanks for the link but i didn't read anything about the solenoid (or the green thing that is connected to the head, thats the solenoid right?)

 

that is vtec wire which should be connected to the ecu so vtec would engage. make sure you are using the right ecu

 

sounds like it simpley wasn't wired
